Traditional wedding veils were made from tulle, but lace, satin and silk have become increasingly popular options. In addition, many tulle wedding veils are now adorned with beading, embroidery, applique or ribbon. The length of the bridal veil often depends upon the length of the bride-to-be's hair.
Unlike wedding shoes, the wedding veil does not have to match the color of the wedding dress exactly. In fact, most brides prefer wedding veils that are a shade or two lighter or darker than their bridal gowns. However, a bride-to-be should not choose a veil of a different color from her dress. It will detract from the gown, which should rightly be the center of attention.
An ivory wedding veil is something that is quite popular among brides and looks very pretty but sometimes becomes a little difficult to handle. Other than this, the ivory wedding veils look beautiful and many brides love wearing them.
