Saving Money on Prom

Prom night is one of the most memorable occasions in any teenager's life. It is only natural that one would want to go all-out and experience the moment no holds barred. But the unfortunate truth is: prom can be pretty expensive. Between a dress, transportation arrangements, a nice meal out, flowers, gifts, an after-prom hotel stay, etc, prom can easily transform from a high school moment to be cherished into a wallet-draining headache.
The great news is, prom doesn't have to be expensive. Consider some of the following tips for saving money on prom:
1. Rent a dress or make your own dress. The easiest way for a girl to save money on prom is to cut some corners with regards to the dress. Most prom dresses cost several hundred dollars at a minimum. This is quite simply a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a dress that will be worn for no more than 12 hours. Consider renting a dress. You get the same great dress for a fraction of the cost as long as you're willing to concede to not getting the chance to wear it again, which girls who buy their prom dress never do anyway. If you're really creative, make your own dress. That makes for a great conversation starter.
2. Make your own dinner. Customarily, prom entails some trip out to a fancy restaurant for an expensive meal. It's stuffy and it costs a lot. Why not do something more fun and less expensive? Get together with a couple of other couples and make your own prom dinner. Each person can be assigned a task. Spend a few weeks creating a menu and make the experience something that everyone takes part in.
3. Let Mom and Dad chauffeur. The idea of arriving to prom in a limo sounds great, but the sad truth is that no one is going to notice or care. Limos cost an arm and a leg, even if just rented for one hour. And at the end of the day, all the limo does for you is give you a short ride to the prom facility. Why pay so much for that? I'm sure if you asked, your parent or guardian would be happy to drop you off while you and your date enjoyed each other's company in the backseat.
4. Throw an after-prom party at a house. After-prom parties can either be incredibly cheap or incredibly expensive. See if your parents or one of your friends' parents may be interested in opening up their home for your very own after-prom party. I'm sure they'll be receptive to the idea of saving money but also being available in the event that their assistance is needed. And despite what you may think, your parents were kids once too. They'll understand your need for plenty of personal space without your having to ask.
If you follow these steps, you'll almost certainly have as enjoyable and memorable of a prom as anything you could have done for ten times the expense.

Wedding Invitations for Traditional Ceremony

Getting married can be a lot of things. It is about a commitment that you intend to last a lifetime. Sometimes it is a solemn bond, not just between two people, but between them and their religious beliefs. Anyhow, it is the most common public acknowledgment of love that exists in our society. Introducing someone to your husband carries a lot more weight than just introducing them to your boyfriend.

In many ways, marriage is about publicly sharing your love with the people who are most important to you in your life. It is about inducting your spouse fully into your family, and about you being inducted into his. Something about being surrounded by all of your friends and family just helps to seal the deal officially.

But before any of this occurs, you first have to get all of your loved ones together for your wedding ceremony. If you are having a traditional wedding, then you will most likely want to go the traditional route with sending out invitations. That means no phone calls, no e-mails, and certainly no Facebook invites. For this occasion, you do it the old-fashioned way, by sending an invitation in the mail. These wedding invitations will be perfect for your traditional ceremony.

Elegant Tradition

This option is a simple and classic wedding invitation that is great if you plan on sending out invitations early in the planning process. Do you want to make sure you get everyone invited before you start making serious wedding decisions? Then this could be the right card for you. If you haven't picked out your wedding colors yet, then you can still order these invitations in simple black and white. The card comes in color options of Antique White or Bright White.

The invitation on this card measures 5-1/2 inches by 7-3/4 inches and does not fold. All of your personalized information will be printed using a raised thermograph process. You can choose your own special fonts and verses, and you can even pick different colors if you do, in fact, have your wedding colors picked out.

There are other gorgeous add-ons you can select to go with this terrific invitation. You can personalize response cards, reception cards, thank you cards, and multi-purpose cards to send out as well.

Burst of Love

Looking for something a little bit more flamboyant to announce your wedding? While some couples are looking for a very traditional invitation to match their traditional wedding, others might want something a little bit more modern.

You can still have a lovely, traditional wedding and add a dash of flair to the occasion. The Burst of Love invitations are great for celebrating a springtime wedding in stylish fashion. The invitations have a lovely design on them that resembles a combination of a blooming flower and a bursting firework.

You can purchase these cards in your choice of 17 different colors. These options include Guava, Canary, Malibu, Key Lime, Iris, Tangerine, Watermelon, and more. No matter which color you pick, the flower-like burst will be cut out in contrasting white.

One of the most satisfying aspects of this invitation is that you can also feel good about sending it. Many brides might want to "go green" on their wedding by foregoing cards altogether. But that isn't necessary with the Burst of Love cards.

This eco-friendly invitation was made using a digital printing process that eliminates much of the waste that accompanies old-fashioned printing methods. For one thing, all of the paper used is made from recycled materials and has been Green Seal Certified. Even the production process is green. All of the recycled paper is made using clean and renewable wind power!

Water's Edge

A traditional wedding ceremony does not always have to take place in a house of worship. It is perfectly natural to take your traditional vows in an untraditional location.

Actually, so many people seem to get married on a tropical beach these days, that it is almost becoming a new tradition in itself. There is nothing quite like being out on the beach at sunset with the sea breeze blowing through your hair and the soft sand between your toes. Add in the love of your life and all your friends and family, and who can blame you for wanting to get married there?

The Water's Edge invitations are great for a waterfront wedding. They have a lovely beach scene printed on the back. These cards are a great value and can coordinate with any color theme.

When picking out your wedding invitations, be careful to take enough time, but not too much. Of course you want to get ones that are "just right," but don't get overwhelmed with all the options. Make a list as you go through different styles and mark your favorites as "possibilities." When you feel like you've seen enough, just pick one of them. The important part isn't the invitations you send, it is the people you send them to.

Easy and Breezy - the Beach Wedding Dresses

If you're considering a wedding ceremony with a spectacular view of the beach's sunset, the sand and the surf, then the beach wedding would be perfect for you and your significant other. Think about it, the setting is absolutely picturesque, and the destination, completely romantic. The beach provides you the ultimate wedding backdrop.

Take gorgeous pictures and look and feel like the perfect bride with your fabulous beach wedding dress and a wonderful groom by your side. You've already got the groom, and you've made your choice about the setting-it seems like all you have to worry about is your beach wedding dress.

Worry no more, we're here to help! Provided below is a list of tips and explanations designed to help you find the perfect beach wedding dresses.

What is it?

As the name suggests, the beach wedding dress pertains to the bride's apparels during her beach wedding ceremony. Beach weddings are much more informal compared to church weddings.

While some brides actually wear lovely and lightweight dresses for their sandy walk down the aisle, other brides prefer to go for white bikinis complete with an almost see-through sarong. Your choice of beach wedding attire depends fully on how formal or how casual you want your wedding ceremony to be.

Why we love it?

Due to their informal nature, beach wedding dresses are much simpler and easier to wear than their elegant, intricate and heavily designed counterparts. It doesn't mean that your choice of dress should be any less elegant or special than those dresses worn for church weddings; it only means that you'll need a different kind of gown or dress.

Regardless of how informal your beach wedding dress appears, the right cut and the right dress style can help make your informal dress look glamorous and classy. Just like their formal counterparts, informal wedding dresses come in various shapes, colors, sizes and designs.

We also absolutely adore beach wedding dresses simply because these can be bought off the rack. You can purchase a simple cocktail or casual white dress from any store and it instantly becomes your perfect beach wedding dress.

Wave goodbye to alterations and months of waiting for your dress to be finished, with the beach wedding dress it only takes a week or two before you can pronounce your dress wedding-worthy.

There's a beach wedding dress designed to flatter your figure, show off your assets and mask whatever not-so-flattering areas you want to hide. The key to finding that perfect beach wedding dresses is to know where to look and what to look for.

The Top Tips to Create Junior Bridesmaid Dresses

Junior Bridesmaid Dresses

Many brides have their cousins, nieces, or lifelong neighbors as their special participants, called junior bridesmaids.

In this case, brides still keep their bridesmaid, but replace ring bearer and flower girl with junior bridesmaid. In the past, dressing the junior bridesmaids is a difficult task. Below covers some top tips for these occasions.

Junior Bridesmaid Gowns

Instructions for dressing the junior bridesmaid dresses:

If you find the difficulty in choosing a desired junior bridesmaid dress in a wedding store, you can go to a local upscale department store and select a dress to coordinate with the wedding party attire. Shop your desired junior bridesmaid dresses on the internet. When you contact an online company, here are some suggestions. One is to check and see if they have junior bridesmaid dresses, and must let them know clearly the date of the wedding. Give you and the company enough time to make a perfect bridesmaid dress. Reasons are that you need to take time to offer specific and correct measurements, and the company also needs time to check your measurements with you and take time, sometimes up to a month to make a perfect dress for your maid of honor. Give them enough time to make sure that your dress will be perfect when it arrives.

Sometimes, you will find a pattern with a simple design, but with an elegant look. This is not a rule as references when looking for a dress, because your rules for selecting a perfect dress for bridesmaid are to blend and match with wedding dresses.

When you have ordered a dress from your ordered company, you can send it to your special participants. Let them have a try and see if alterations need to be made. Ask them to send you back a letter with their photos and their dresses measurements. If there is something unsuitable, please send them to a tailor shop to make it perfect. This also adds a little bit reason for that you should prepare your junior bridesmaid dresses months ahead.

Once this is done, please select shoes and hair accessory to match the attendants. With all these done, I am sure your junior bridesmaid will be ready to company you to walk down the aisle.

Plus Size Bridal Gowns for your big day

A woman's wedding day is one of the most important events in her life. It marks a milestone in her life and marks the day when she would spend the rest of her days with her husband. Women should look their best during this day.

However, whatever the size of the bride is, whether she is slim or sexy or plus size, she has the right to look like an angel that descended from heaven on her special day.

It is easy for slim women to select gowns. Almost all types of dresses suit them well. Only a touch of shimmering jewelries here and a little brush of make up there and voila! They look fabulous. But what if you're a full-figured woman?

Don't worry. That's easy. Even at a plus size, you can still enchant your guests and your groom by looking like the goddess of beauty. How? Here are a few tips on how to choose the perfect plus size bridal gown and look stunning on your wedding day.

Plus Size Wedding Dresses

Know your budget. This is one of the most crucial factors that you should consider upon selecting your wedding dress. Knowing your budget will limit you on how much you should spend and what brand of bridal gowns you should eye on. Not only will this help you avoid impulse buying, but it will also keep you in control of your expenses.

Know your figure. After deciding on the budget, it's time to think of the design of dress that best suits your figure. If you're the curvy type, going for the a-line dress will accentuate your curves more. But in general, plus size women like you should stay away from tea dresses since it can make you look shorter and stubbier in the ankle area.

Know where to shop. There are a lot of bridal shops to choose from. If you know an excellent bridal shop in your neighborhood, then that's the first place you can check. Another option would be looking for bridal shops online. These days, the internet market is booming and a lot of entrepreneurs have opened their businesses online. It will be nice if you check out the net for online shops.

You may never know that the perfect gown for you is just waiting for you online.

Tailor up. If you already looked up all the bridal shops in town and online, but you can't find the perfect wedding gown, look of a seamstress. That's right. Have the seamstress turn your dream bridal gown into a reality. Discuss with him or her, the design you wish to see. He or she will create a rough sketch of a gown. Upon your approval, he or she will sew away, making your dreams a reality.

Comfort over style. Although there is a saying, "the vain endures the pain," it would be advised that you don't live with that. It is your wedding day and you wouldn't want to remember it as a day of pain and misery. Choose a design that is stylish and chic, without sacrificing your comfort. By choosing an uncomfortable gown, instead of looking beautiful, you will only end up looking like a disaster.

6 Bridal Shoes That Are Sure to Complement Your Wedding Dresses

As a bride, you will most likely be on your feet from sunrise to sunset. The exercise starts with a walk down the aisle and moves on to the dance floor. You'll work in the room all day, walking to greet your guests, cutting the cake and posing for photographs. The shoes you wear on your wedding day must be comfortable also complement your bridal gown. Luckily there are enough shoe styles to ensure your selection does both.

Styles of bridal shoes vary almost as many as wedding gowns. The first thing to consider is the style of dress shoe you normally wear. If you are accustomed to stilettos, then you can consider a pair. But if you're a sensible-heel kind of woman, then do not try anything too far out of your comfort range. And definitely purchase your shoes far enough in advance that you can gently break them in by walking around on your carpeted floors.

Once you know what style you want, think about the type of materials used. You can select from fabric, leather and manmade materials. The material you choose should depend partly on the wedding place and the time of year. If you are saying your vows on the beach, fabric shoes may seem a little over the top. If it is winter wedding, a strappy sandal may be chilly in some climates. But most importantly, consider the style of wedding dress you will be wearing. If your wedding dress is extremely simple, a rhinestone embellished sandal might be the right choice. But if your dress is already elaborate, tone down the shoes and let the dress carry the day.

Brides who are close in height to their groom should not wear shoes that will have you towering over him. Think about how the height disparity will show up in the wedding pictures and then look for a pair of flats or an elegant ballet slipper. You have the rest of your life to sport your heels, but this is not the day for them.

With these suggestions in mind, the following are six bridal shoes that will work with a formal wedding dress:

Floral

It will be the rare dress that can handle a pair of floral pumps, but with the right dress these shoes could make the day. Imagine a simple garden wedding and you are wearing a short, full-skirted wedding dress out of a crisp fabric. Floral shoes, with a rosette on the toe, will be the most feminine footwear imaginable.

Bridal Shoes

Closed Toes

There is nothing more elegant than a pair of white satin pumps. If you prefer something a little less conservative, consider a pair of peep-hole pumps, where the sides of the shoe are cut away, revealing the shapely arch of your foot. A simple pleat in the fabric and rhinestone trim finishes the look. A reasonable 3 inch or 3½ inch heel will be enough to lift your dress.

bridesmaid shoes

Sandals

If your dress is a simple straight skirt or a sheath style. Your shoes will definitely be visible when you walk down the aisle or dance at your reception. In this case, you might want a pair of eye-catching sandals. Among the hottest high-heeled sandals are satin t-straps. The rhinestone-encrusted t-strap runs from the toe to the ankle strap, creating a long, lean look.

Slippers

Even if your groom towers over you, a ballet slipper is sometimes the right shoe for some dresses. For example, you wouldn't want anything else if your dress is a Renaissance-inspired gown. Slippers might also prove to be a good second shoe for the day. Late into the reception, it might feel nice to bustle up your dress and slip on a pair of stylish slippers.

Outdoor Appropriate

Just because your wedding is being held outdoors does not mean you abandon bridal shoes. In this case, however, you might want to sport a pair of Rhinestone-embellished flip flops, available in white and ivory. Think about a beach wedding. Why spoil a pair of fabric shoes when these everyday beach shoes can be glamorized for the event? If yours is not an indoor wedding, you might still want to throw in the flip flops as a second pair of shoes for the reception. It is a bit more dignified than tossing off your shoes and dancing barefoot.

Dyeable

Shoes that can be died to match even the subtlest of colors are an easy way to complement your wedding gown. In fact, it is so easy, it's almost cheating. You can find dyeable shoes in closed toe, peep toes, sandals and slippers. They come in flats, towering wedges and all heel heights.

Now You Can Find Mini Bridal Flower Girl Dresses in Adorable Styles

If you have ever planned a wedding, or even attended a wedding, before you might have noticed that flower girl dresses often look like Easter or first communion dresses, or that they do not really seem like dresses for young girls. Flower girls have a tendency to look as though they are wearing dresses that were shrunk down to fit them, and accessories that do not fit the occasion. Recently, however, newer fashions have been introduced for flower girls that both allow the bride to coordinate her flower girls with the wedding party and also allows the flower girl to wear an elegant but age appropriate dress.

Flower girl dresses are available in all sorts of fun styles, everything from summery dresses for the less formal weddings to what amount to miniature wedding dresses for the more formal weddings. The dresses are available in a range of colors, though of course white is the most prevalent color available. Several of the designs have a white base with color accents, which is a fun way for a bride to either match her flower girl with her wedding party, or add a flair of her wedding colors to the ceremony. Even if the dress itself is pure white, many colors can be added with a ribbon around the waist or in the hair!

The dresses are also available in varying lengths; an important consideration during preparations. If your wedding is outside you probably would not want your flower girl in a floor length formal dress just to have it dragging along the ground. Similarly, if you have an extremely formal indoor wedding party you would not want your flower girl to wear a knee length summer dress and sandals. Now that there is a wide range of dresses available it will be easier to match your flower girl's dress both to the level of formality of your wedding and also the setting. Thanks to the wide variety of dresses not only can you match the length of the dress with the formality and location of the wedding party, but also with the season in which your wedding occurs.

A large number of accessories are also available for your flower girl. There are all sorts of veils and tiaras, along with gloves, shoes, and hair accessories. Giving your flower girls these accessories can both dress up their outfit and allow the young girls to have a truly fun experience dressing up for your big day. Each of the accessories are designed to complement the wedding party without making the young girls look as though they are wearing something designed for a bridesmaid.

One of the best things about the styles that are available for brides to choose from for their flower girls is that most of them have a wide range of colors available, either for the dress itself or for the accent features of the dress. Because of the range of colors available for each style the bride will not have to compromise her ideal design in order to get a color that matches her wedding's color scheme. The bride will be able to find a dress that matches or compliments her bridesmaids without having to worry about matching colors.

The dresses available, although designed to match or complement the outfits of the wedding party, are not simply miniature adult dresses. These dresses have been designed as fashionable, formal and classy dresses for young girls. They are both occasioning appropriate and age appropriate. The shoes, tiaras and other accessories are also designed to be formal but not necessarily adult. The flower girls will not look like a miniature bridesmaid in these gorgeous dresses; they will look like beautiful young girls in amazing dresses.

Flower girl dresses of the past have often compromised either style or their complementary nature simply due to a lack of availability. Flower girls often looked either like young girls playing dress up in clothes that obviously were not designed for them, or they looked as though they were going to Easter service or their first communion. The dresses available today put this practice to rest, allowing the bride to pick fun and beautiful dresses that will look great on the girls and that the flower girls will, hopefully, have fun wearing. The vast range and availability of the dresses allows the brides to fit the flower girl dresses into the overall design of the wedding much easier, and the colors available allow for the bride to bring a touch of color to her ceremony. The dresses available now allow for the flower girls to have a fun time dressing up and taking part in an adult ceremony without losing the fun and girliness of it all.

How to Buy Bridesmaid Dresses Online

Avoid the Pitfalls when Ordering Bridesmaid Dresses Online

It is exciting for the entire wedding party to get dressed up for the special occasion. In fact, it's the job of the bridesmaid to present the bride in the best possible light, which can easily be done with the right bridesmaid dress. However, because of the outrageous number of options on the market, choosing the right dress can result in time consuming confusion. Since it's so easy to shop on the internet, there is even more of an array of options.

Call the Store

Don't Shop at Random Internet Stores. Doing this might cause for your bridesmaid dresses online to be shipped late, the wrong color to be sent, or even an absence in the dress altogether. The only way to make sure you get what you order online is to find a reliable, trustworthy source. Quality stores like these go above and beyond to assist you in finding the right bridesmaid dress to fit your needs. Call them before you decide to buy from them. If they are helpful in explaining to you how to select a dress, they know what they are doing. Make sure to call them and talk about your specific evening bridesmaid dress.

Don't Estimate Measurements

If you simply estimate measurements for the dress, there is a good chance that the dress will arrive too big or too small. Avoid this nightmare by making sure you take exact measurements. You might even want to consider adding a very small increase to the chest and waist areas so allow for size difference in various manufacturers. If you increase the measurements by a small eighth of an inch, the dress should fit like a glove.

Color Selection

Don't Order the Wrong Color. Talk to the store and ask them personally what the color looks like. Because the bride's dress is white, a lot of room is left for the color of the bridesmaid dress. Just because you have wedding colors picked out doesn't mean the dress has to match these colors. So don't jump the gun and order a color you might regret later. Consider colors to compliment the season. In fact, this is a good way to add additional flair to a wedding.

Don't Wait

Don't Order Too Early or Wait Too Long. You want the bridesmaid dress to arrive in plenty of time for fittings, alterations and any other last minute changes that might arise. However, you don't want to order the dress a year in advance because lots of things can change in that time and the dress might end up useless altogether. Instead, plan on ordering the dress about four months before the actual wedding.

Secure Shopping

Make sure the online store has secure shopping while you place your order.Return Policy

Checkout the store's return policy to make sure you know what it would cost you to return a dress in the event you don't like it. Don't fight with the store afterwards, check their policies beforehand to avoid issues later.

Flower Girl Dresses for Formal Wedding Ceremonies

2011 Flower Girl Dress

Of all the roles involved in a wedding, few are as adorable as the flower girl. This little lady, usually between the ages of 4 and 8 years old, has a big role to play in the wedding ceremony. Flower girls are most often members of the bride's or groom's family, but feel free to invite the daughter of a good friend, too. And if it comes to choosing between siblings for the role, you can always have more than one flower girl.

The concept of a flower girl started with royal or very formal weddings. At those weddings, there were often multiple flower girls and usually included at least one male counterpart? The page who carried the train or the ring bearer. Today's flower girl usually walks in front of the bride, casting flower petals on the floor where the bride will walk. It's not a difficult job, but it is one that adds a nice family touch to the ceremony.

Once her walk up the aisle is over, the flower girl will usually go sit with her parents. But she will be back in action as part of the recessional with the wedding party and she is certain to be included in the photographs. For all this, a flower girl needs a very special dress.

Formal Wedding Ceremonies

Dresses are usually a child-appropriate version of the bridesmaids' dresses? Matching the color and the style worn by the bridesmaids. Alternatively, they can be lovely white dresses that mimic the wedding dress itself. A third option is a white gown with a satin sash in the color of the bridal party. The bride will select the flower girl's dress. Some points to consider include:
  • Age of the flower girl
  • Ease of matching the flower girl's dress to the bridesmaids' gown
  • Coordinating outfits with the ring bearer. Would you prefer they both wear white? or do you want miniature versions of the wedding party with a colorful dress for the flower girl and a tuxedo for the ring bearer?

If you decide the flower girl should wear a miniature wedding dress, you will find a wide range of choices for between $90 and $150. You will probably want to pick a dress that matches the formality of the bridal gown. A simple model is a lace tank dress that falls about mid-calf. This shorter length is less formal and would work well at an outdoor ceremony. For a more formal ceremony, there are plenty of floor-length dresses for flower girls, like a tiered tulle gown, a chiffon baby doll dress with spaghetti straps or a satin A-line gown with beaded metallic embroidery.

If you opt for a colorful flower girl, you will find dresses ranging from about $40 to $120. An all-over satin tea-length ball gown with a wide satin sash and wide spaghetti straps is available in 26 colors. With this range of colors, you are bound to find a dress that comes close to the shade of your bridesmaids' dresses.

For a less formal look, consider a tank strap cotton satin dress with a self tie bow in the back. This tea-length dress is available in 26 colors as well. If you're trying to match a romantic style wedding dress, consider a short-sleeved, crinkle chiffon dress with an empire waist and beaded ribbon sash. It is available in 20 styles.

Don't forget about the third option? A white gown with color accents. You will find detachable satin sashes with a wide bow in the back for about $10. They are worn over a white dress and are available in 26 different colors. You might also choose a satin sash embellished with beading in more than two dozen colors.

If you want more than just a colored sash, some flower girl dresses are predominantly white or ivory, with wide panels of color on the bodice and at the hem. The panels come in a variety of colors, and the dress is available in white or ivory.

If this is your first time as the mother of a flower girl, keep in mind:
  • Most flower girl dresses start at size 2 toddler and run up to size 8 to 14. If you need a larger size, check out junior bridesmaid dresses.
  • The cost of the flower girl's dress is usually borne by her parents. If cost is a concern, remember that you can purchase a white dress and the satin sash separately. This way, the dress can be used again by another flower girl. Just purchase a new sash that matches the next wedding party.
  • If you're worried about your little girl handling her duties, encourage her to practice at home, walking up the hallway.
  • If holding a bouquet is too much for your little one, put flowers in her hair instead of her hands.

With these helpful tips, your flower girl will be the cherry on top of a picture perfect wedding ceremony.

Reception Dresses That Let You Party All Night

In some countries, a bride wears several dresses over the all course of her wedding day. In India, for example, the bride must change into a new dress for each celebration she attends. The festivities often last for several days. And in China, the bride may change outfits up to eight times. But when an American bride changes dresses, it is often a matter of practicality, rather than tradition.

Until only recently, brides in the West were expected to wear their wedding dresses for the entire celebration. But as bridal dresses became bigger, heavier, and more elaborate, this became impractical. Honestly, how can a bride be expected to enjoy her reception in a brocade wedding gown that weighs ten to fifteen pounds? If she is in extremely fit condition and she can stand the heat, she may be able to get through a dance or two before she needs a break.

Short Wedding Dresses

Since most brides want to have a good time rather than a workout at their reception, they have embraced the popular new trend of taking off their wedding dresses after the ceremony and slipping into a reception dress. As a general rule, the bride will wear her wedding dress while she dances with her new husband and her father and then she can excuse herself to change into a more comfortable and appropriate party dress.

When the bride reappears, the festivities begin in earnest. This is when the band or the DJ starts playing the dance numbers. Free from the weight and heat of her wedding dress, the bride can boogie down, trip the light fantastic, and dance all night! The typical reception dress is lightweight, has a high hemline, and is made from breathable natural materials like chiffon and silk.

Now, it is important to note that not every bride chooses to change into a reception dress. When a couple has scheduled an informal outdoor ceremony on the grass or in the sand, the wedding dress is typically quite comfortable with a high hemline and light fabrics. These dresses are well-suited for dancing, which is why informal brides rarely require a reception gown. But for brides who feel immured inside a hot, heavy, and uncomfortable dress, a reception gown is the perfect solution.

What to look for?
Because it is a relatively new trend, there are few rules when it comes to reception dresses. It's strange, we know. Most everything about a wedding, even an informal one, follows a pattern that has been in place for many years. There are vows, toasts, dances, cakes, and then the happy couple drives off into the sunset. But the reception dress is a new tradition that is not governed by etiquette or decorum, but by simple preference. In short, the bride is free to choose whichever dress she likes. The one and only rule is that the dress should be white, like the wedding gown.
Perhaps to keep from shocking her guests with a sudden sartorial transformation, most brides choose reception dresses that are similar in style to their wedding dresses. So, if a bride wears a strapless dress to the ceremony, she will often choose a strapless number for the reception. The styles are seldom identical, but more often than not, they are quite similar.

Short Dresses
The short reception dress is a fun and informal number that brides at smaller, more intimate weddings often prefer. The dress is typically strapless with a - that hovers just below the knees. Taffeta and chiffon are the two most popular materials for these light and playful reception gowns. Because they use less material, short reception dresses are quite affordable at an average price of around $200.

Long-Sleeved Gowns
When a wedding is scheduled for the winter months, brides often choose a wedding dress with long sleeves, which often means that their reception gowns also have long sleeves. Though they are less formal than the actual wedding dress, reception gowns with long sleeves are almost always more formal than short dresses. Not only do they require more material, but most brides have these dresses adorned with beads or other embellishments. Most reception dresses with long sleeves have a tea-length hemline, which falls at the shins.

Long Gowns
It might seem a bit silly changing from one floor-length gown into another one. But that is exactly what many brides do at their receptions. As you might expect, the second dress is made of much lighter materials and it is much cooler and more comfortable for the bride. These dresses are popular with brides who don't do much disco dancing. Perhaps they simply prefer to slow dance in a long and comfortable evening gown. The typical long gown is made of satin or chiffon. Strapless versions create a modern, romantic look. Brides are often said to resemble Sleeping Beauty when they wear these gowns. Whichever style you choose, it's important to remember that the most essential element of your reception gown is comfort. Find the perfect dress now and get ready to party your whole wedding night long.

The Perfect Wedding Hairstyle

A bride dreams of her wedding and spends a lot of hours in planning and selecting the perfect wedding dress and accessories. A bride should feel comfortable and beautiful from her head to the toes.
As the perfect wedding hairstyle is on the top of every bride's list, and in the autumn wedding, bride has to examine whether wearing her hair up or down because of cooler weather. However, many autumn wedding hairstyles, such as updos, down or half up half down, all look beautiful for fall brides.
A fall bride should not shy away from an updo because of lower temperatures and the season. In fact, an updo wedding hair style is acceptable, no matter what season it is.
There are hundreds of beautiful updo wedding hairstyles online that are perfect for a fall wedding. Many of the online wedding hairstyles are directions for recreating the style, so I decided to try them and my own instructions, tips and ideas for each style.
It was a complete and utter disaster! I have shoulder length hair that is fairly easy to manage, and I've always been able to create, to hairstyles with very little effort. However, when I tried to follow the instructions online, I found it hard to follow, and without illustrations or photographs (only 2 that I had found those), it was almost impossible for someone without training to create the wedding updo hairstyle again.

I know that brides have budgets and that it is tempting to save money for the wedding hairstyle. I would advise against this for several reasons:
1st Your wedding portraits are photos that you look at for years, and you do not want a bad hairdo ruin it will be.
2nd You will not feel well and good if your hair is not exactly what you want. This makes you nervous and takes off your opinion, what is really important - your man.
3rd You risk your hair falls during the ceremony, photos or reception if it is not properly secured. My best advice for brides looking for a fall wedding hairstyle is to practice to determine their own wedding updo to know if it will work for them. If not, I would then begin to search for Hairdressers.
That are affordable and talk to them about what they charge to do an updo for your wedding. Take a picture with the wedding hairstyle you want, so that they will give you an estimate of cost and tell you if they can make the new hairstyle. Also, make sure that you try the hair style before the wedding day to ensure that it creates the exact look you desire.
If you still want to create an updo hairstyle for your fall wedding, there are products on the market that make this simple and easy. I would suggest using these products, instead of doing long hours of disasters, as I have tried to follow complicated instructions of professional hair stylists.
Bun Cages - these are great for helping you create sandwiches. They are easy to use and because it is used in so many styles you can find one to match your dress.
Bun Claws - these are ideal for curly hair. Pull up your hair and secure loose curls then allow to spill over the top and through the pages of a sensational updo.
Hair Magic - with this you can create a French Knot or loose Tussle.
Hair Dini - these are handy little devices which have been around for a long time. You can create multiple updos with them.
